General
Exam Policy
- Exams:
Students may (or may not) receive partial credits for uncompleted or
incorrect answers. But, answers derived from insufficient, unclear, or
incorrect work will receive little or no credit. Proper arguments must be
given using complete sentences in English language. Students may not be allowed to use
calculators in exams.
- Make-up
Policy: Make-up exams may be granted only
if you must miss it due to illness, family emergency, or other
circumstances beyond your control. Well documented evidence, acceptable to
me, must be given. Consult me as soon as you can. No credit will be issued
for missing an exam or homework without my pre-approval.
- Homework:
Students are required to work out all
the homework assignments listed in the departmental syllabus. I may assign
additional homework as needed. Students must turn in homework in class in
the due days. No late homework will be accepted in general. Exception for
the “no late homework” policy maybe granted under the same circumstances
as detailed in the make-up policy above only during the same weeks of the
due-days.
- Attendance: Students are required to attend all of
each class. If you have to be absent, it is your responsibility to find
out from other student what transpired during your absence. I may randomly
check attendance. Frequent absence from the class may result in a failing
grade or a grade lower than otherwise would receive according to the
normal grading curve for the class.
